CASHEW CHEESE SAUCE




This was epic!!!! I soaked the cashews in boiling water for about 20 monutes instead(impatient). I didnt have miso but I added a tiny squeeze of lemon and a small amount of massels(vegan) chicken stock powder. Then I put a tiny biy of smoked paprika and some tumeric for a cheesy colour. I also only had the regular soy milk which I think is sweetened but it turned out fine! It’s  a yummy recipe and just look here for instructions!

Ingredients

150g (1 cup) raw cashew nuts, soaked overnight in water
3 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes, if using powder, you can use slightly less*
1 tbsp white miso, (Optional)**
1 tsp garlic powder, or fresh minced garlic
1 tsp onion powder, or fresh minced onion
1/2 tsp mustard powder
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
Salt and pepper, to taste
240ml (1 cup) dairy-free milk, (unsweetened)
